It was a dark gray early afternoon shortly before the sun broke out, and this jay was hiding in some very thick bushes which already were showing their Spring buds. I did the best I could to get a clean view of the jay without scaring it off. Getting a clean background was out of the question. Hand-held, ISO 1000, F-9, 1/400 SS, 400mm focal length.
